Senior assassin team names

A senior assassin team name has to survive three rooms: the group chat where it is chosen, the bracket where it is written down, and the rules meeting where somebody's mom or a vice principal reads it out loud with no context. The 183 names below are sorted by the joke they are making, not alphabetically, because that is how people actually pick. Every one of them is original to this site: steal any of them, remix them, or use them as a warm-up for your own.

Funny team names

The biggest and safest category. These are school-appropriate without trying to be: the joke lands in a group chat and still works when a teacher reads it aloud at a rules meeting.

Intimidating team names

Intimidation in this game is mostly a rumor you start about yourself. The best of these signal competence and inconvenience: The 5 a.m. Club is frightening because someone in it is genuinely awake at 5 a.m., and The Drought is what winning looks like.

Pop-culture team names (no trademarks needed)

You do not need to name a protected character to borrow a famous structure. These bend well-known title shapes toward water, and the public-domain ones (Greek myth, ghost ships, geography) are free real estate. If a name would require an actual trademarked character, paraphrase it the way The Damp Knight does.

Class-year team names

Written for the class of 2027; swap in your own year, which takes ten seconds. These only work once, which is the point. A name like Twenty-Soak-Seven is worthless to the class of 2028 and therefore worth more to yours.

Duo team names

The target generator treats each roster line as one player, so a duo goes in as a single line ("Maya & Sam") and shares one fate in the chain. Names built for two should sound wrong with three people on the team.

Laundry and water-pun names

The game's most reliable side effect is that somebody's clothes get ruined. This category is a tribute to that person, written from the care label outward.

Squad names for teams of three or more

Bigger teams need a name that sounds like an organization, because that is the joke: a group of seniors pretending to be a committee. These work best when your school allows teams of three to five.

Edgy team names that still pass the read-aloud test

Plenty of people search for "inappropriate" senior assassin team names. What most of them want is a name with some bite. These have attitude and still get through a rules meeting, which the actually inappropriate ones (see the next section) never do.

Team names that get games shut down

Your team name will appear in places you do not control: the published rules document, a screenshot a parent forwards, an email your assistant principal sends to the whole grade. Some categories predictably end seasons, and every one of them shows up in real shutdown stories:

The test from our safety guide still wins: read the name aloud to an adult who knows nothing about the game. If their first reaction is concern, it is the wrong name, no matter how funny the group chat thought it was. The team names guide goes deeper on this, with more flagged examples.

How to actually pick

Three jobs, in order. It has to be readable at a glance on a bracket. It has to survive being quoted out of context, because it will be. And it should be specific enough that people remember whose it was: The Bucket List beats Team Chaos because it means something in a game played with water. Funny is optional; specific is not.

Once the name is picked, the rest is plumbing. Publish your season under the editable rules template, paste your roster (duos as one line) into the target generator to draw the chain, and run the whole thing from any browser or the free Android app. Players check in with your class code at join a game.
